Valve continues to accept proposals for the CS:GO majors
Valve is accepting proposals from tournament organizers to host CS:GO majors for the next few years. It is currently known that Valve has two events scheduled for 2022 and 2023. The Majors are planned to be held annually in May and November.
RMR will be held before the majors in each of the five regions (North America, South America, Europe, CIS and Asia / Oceania). Valve promises to provide prize pool support, travel and accommodation for these offline events.
RMR will need to be held in early April and late September. As for the majors, Valve has noted the end of May for the first and the beginning of November for the second major.
Valve also asked tournament organizers to focus on time zones that «convenient for a significant proportion of CS:GO customers”: 16:00 CET and 21:00 CET».
By the end of June, the organizers must send their proposals for the Majors of 2022 and the RMRs. The winning hosts will be selected next month. Bids for the 2023 Majors and RMR's will be accepted through the end of November, but the selection process and announcement dates have yet to be determined.
And, as a reminder, this fall from October 23 to November 7, the PGL Major with a prize pool of $2 million will be held in Stockholm.
