WePlay Animajor 2021: Bootcamp
From June 2 to June 13, Kyiv will host the second and final Major within the DPC season before one of the most anticipated events of this year — TI10.
The capital of Ukraine is hosting teams from all over the world for the second time as part of a series of international Dota 2 events. The previous tournament, The Kyiv Major 2017, took place exactly four years ago and became a landmark event for all Dota fans in Ukraine and beyond.
This time, the venue matches the scale of the event. WePlay AniMajor will take place at WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv, which has already hosted several landmark events, including WUFL Season 1 and Ultimate Boxing Night.
During the championship, teams will train and relax in a bootcamp at the 4-star Ramada Encore Kyiv hotel.
Encore Ramada Kyiv is a part of Wyndham international hotel network and provides 324 rooms, 4 restaurants, a conference center with 30 halls with a total area of 5000 sq. m., as well as two gyms and a parking lot for 1,150 cars
The official technical partner of WePlay Esports is GetInPro esports organization.
The GetInPro brand helps those who want to build their careers in professional esports. GP also builds an international network of esports arenas that will be open to all those interested
The WePlay Esports team, together with the hotel management and representatives of the GetInPro organization, have done a significant job to ensure optimal living conditions, safety, and technical support for the bootcamp during the tournament.
The main task of the tournament organizer is to ensure the safety of the event participants. All necessary precautions have been taken at the bootcamps, which are located in the hotel, to ensure the teams are comfortable and safe:
- Superior accommodation with additional protection measures;
- Personal practice rooms for all teams;
- First-aid post with the ability to pass PCR and express tests for COVID-19;
- Individually developed menu, taking into consideration the preferences of the tournament participants.
According to the technical regulations, practice rooms equipped with game stations for 6 people (5 players + a coach) have been prepared for all teams.
Players are provided with 24-hour access to training throughout their stay at the hotel.
Only authorized personnel interact with the players, with up-to-date negative PCR tests for coronavirus and certificates of the presence of antibodies. The bootcamp has a bactericidal air recirculation system in all rooms.
Medical support from the mobile laboratory CALLAB
For the tournament period, the CALLAB mobile laboratory is located in the bootcamp. Upon arrival at the hotel, all players take PCR tests and await the results, being in complete isolation, without leaving their room.
There is a first-aid post on the territory of the bootcamp. Every day, doctors check the players' general condition and measure their temperature. Everything is done so that the participants concentrate as much as possible on the tournament and do not worry about security measures and organizational issues.
